Censor Board Chief Sharmila Tagore issued a statement suggesting Health Minister A.Ramadoss to focus on bigger health issues like fake medicines, and contamination of pesticides in drinking water and vegetables etc.

Suggestion of Tagore is highly appreciable at the same time the advice of the Health Minister can not be undermined for the simple reason that he has not consulted the captains of the entertainment industry before reaching out to Big B and King Khan through media and press.

Though the approach of the Health Minister is plain and simple, his caution and advice on the negative effects depicting the scenes of smoking and drinking by the lead stars and icons can not be neglected, drawing a thin line between the entertainment industry and the educational institutions.

Occupying positions of high responsibilities among the public, it is only obligatory on the part of the parties concerned, to spare some time to organise and convene a meeting of concerned authorities to formulate and approve suitable methods for implementation for the betterment of the society,  utilising the power of the entertainment media in reaching the public.
